Observations of the hydrogen-line strengths for the Ap star HD 184905 are reported and compared with those given by Kumaigorodskaya and Chunakova (1975). The claim by these authors that all the hydrogen lines exhibit strong variability is questioned in light of the present observations. In particular, their claim that the cores of the hydrogen lines vary more than the wings appears to be in error.
