A brief history and description of the University of New Hampshire meteor wind radar, located at Durham (43 deg N, 71 deg W) is presented. Winds measured for the periods 10-15 August 1974, 13-17 October 1975 and 16-22 January 1976, are discussed. In addition to prevailing winds, diurnal and semidiurnal tides, and their variation with height, the presence of a 48 hour component is discussed.
