Proper motions have been determined for discrete features in the complex outer shell of Eta Carinae, from plates taken during 1949-1950 and 1975. Two condensations north of the central object have tangential velocities in excess of 1000 km/s, the highest yet observed in the Eta Car nebulosity. On the other hand, the outermost features move more slowly, which implies ejection, possibly during the fifteenth century, on the assumption of uniform motions.
