The present paper deals with the accuracy of mathematical models of motion in which no allowance is made for such disturbances as errors in the determination of aerodynamic, light-pressure, and electromagnetic forces; the influence of the interplanetary medium; and disturbances caused by residual terms in expansions of the gravitational potential of attracting bodies in series of spherical functions. Expressions are derived for the 'assured' accuracy of parameter estimates in the presence of constraints on the disturbances. The influence of the class of disturbances under consideration in the determination of orbital motion is illustrated by an example.
