The present reexamination of the causal properties of geometries generated by parallel, moving cosmic strings gives attention to the conjecture that closed, timelike curves such as those developed by Gott (1991) are forbidden therein. It is established that, in contradiction to claims recently made, acausal behavior of this kind cannot be realized by timelike physical sources.
