Periodic changes in upper cut-off frequency of quasi-periodic VLF emission events are shown to be consistent with a Coroniti-Kennel type of interaction between geomagnetic micropulsations and the wave-particle interaction process itself. Expected relationships between phase and amplitude of the interrelated phenomena are pointed out and their validity discussed.
