The formation of a density spectrum produced by a vector field, Aμ, undergoing quantum fluctuations in the de Sitter space is investigated. The field self-interacts through a potential V(ξ), where ξ = AμAμ, and is split up into a classical, homogeneous part and a quantum part. It is found that the density spectrum is scale dependent when the potential satisfies appropriate conditions.
