I describe a calculation of the expected event rate in an 127I solar neutrino detector. The cross section for 8B neutrinos is considerably larger than the corresponding cross section in 37Cl (though smaller than an early estimate by Haxton). The 7Be neutrino cross section is even more enhanced, and the total event rate in a 1000-ton iodine detector (assuming Standard Solar Model fluxes) should be 7-10 times that in Homestake 37Cl experiment.
