Direct constraints on the presence of a diffuse intragroup medium within the Local Group are surprisingly hard to come by. It is also not clear whether the Local Group is sufficiently dynamically evolved to possess such a medium. I will discuss the existing constraints on a local diffuse IGM, both direct and indirect, and answer the question posed in my title with a definitive "Maybe, maybe not."
