The paper summarizes the expected VLTI performance in the areas most
critical to operation of a nulling beam combiner at mid-infrared
wavelengths such as GENIE. The data presented were obtained either by
measurement or by simulation. When possible, the impact on the GENIE
performance in terms of the achievable null depth is computed.
