We reformulate the recently-proposed Higgs mechanism by Chamseddine and Mukhanov for a massive spin-2 field in terms of teleparallelism, due to the lack of local Lorentz invariance. This is motivated by the presence of the Lorentz-non-covariant derivative ∂μphiA in the Higgs mechanism. We use only the anholonomy coefficient Cμνm, instead of a local Lorentz connection ωμmn or its curvature Rμνmn, because of the lack of local Lorentz invariance. As a by-product, there arises a physical massless spin-0 propagating field as the anti-symmetric component of the vierbein, as in the usual teleparallelism in four dimensions lacking local Lorentz invariance.
