It is shown how the smaller but more common micrometeoroids can be studied by remote measurement or laboratory techniques applied to captured material. The paper identifies pathways from the major source of presolar grains to the inner solar system, giving opportunities for capture and analysis. It is noted that gravitational interaction, collisional comminution, and the Poynting-Robertson effect dominate their distribution and its evolution.
