The results of measurements of the first five moments of the intensity fluctuations of stellar scintillation are presented. Measurements were made using photon counting techniques. The moments were found to be consistent with a log normal model provided the normalized second moment of the intensity was less than approximately 1.65. Above this, departure from log normal behavior occurred.
