An infrared spectrometer based on a piezo-electrically scanned Fabry-Pérot interferometer is described. The instrument includes a remote-controlled offset guider, the Fabry-Pérot interferometer and associated optics, and a cryostat containing the cold optics, and InSb detector. In the present configuration the spectrometer can be used from 1.8 to 2.5 μm, but it can be modified for observations in the range from 1 to 5 μm. Line profiles of the H2 emission in Cepheus A obtained with this instrument are shown.
