Rotational synthesis method is proposed to make a two-dimensional map from one-dimensional fan beam scans by the 8-cm wavelength radioheliograph at Toyokawa Observatory. A preliminary map was synthesized using the back projection method combined with the CLEAN technique. S-components were successfully mapped but the quiet sun was not able to be restored by the CLEAN technique. Some problems associated with rotational synthesis by a fan beam scanning instrument of the sun are discussed.
