A project for an interferometer involving the Alpine stations at Testa Grigia and Gornergrat is described. Millimeter wave astronomy has poor angular resolution compared with both optical and radio astronomy. Many fundamental problems of galactic astronomy require greatly increased resolution in the mm wave band, which is obtained by an interferometric system. The project makes it possible to obtain very high resolution observations of compact millimeter sources. The system expected performance is estimated.
