It is important to investigate magnetic connection between the photosphere and the corona for understanding the heating mechanism of the solar corona. We investigate what magnetic signature in the photosphere is responsible for the difference in the coronal temperature, and find that number density of fine magnetic elements (magnetic filling factor) is significantly correlated with the heating rate of the corona. This result suggests that motion of the magnetic elements in the photosphere plays an important role in the heating of the corona. The Solar-B satellite, which will be launched in 2006, will provide an opportunity to perform direct investigation of the correlation between the photospheric motion of fine magnetic elements and the coronal heating.
