We present new mid-infrared spectropolarimetric observations obtained with TIMMI2 and Michelle at the ESO La Silla 3.6 m telescope and UKIRT respectively. These data, at a spectral resolution of over 100, represent the first new observations using this technique in a decade, and build upon the work of Smith et al. (2000). Mid-IR spectropolarimetry is a powerful tool in the investigation of dust properties, as well as magnetic fields, and we will examine such implications resulting from our recent work.
