We present radiative transfer models of the H2D+ emission towards the pre-stellar core L 1544. Models with a centrally peaked density distribution come closer to the observed double-peaked lines profile than models with a constant density at the center. However, an additional ingredient such as rotation on <2000 AU scales appears necessary. The effect of (2D) flattening is shown to be minor.
