We present the mapping of relatively narrow emission from shock molecular tracers like SiO, SO, CH3OH and H2S toward the young outflow L1448-mm. We distinguish between three different evolutionary stages in the gas: the preshock, shockprecursor, and postshock gas. The enhancement of the SiO, SO, CH3OH and H2S abundances by up to a factor of 10 in the shock-precursor cloud, indicates that these molecules trace the material affected by the interaction of the shock precursors. The observed broader CH3OH, SO and SiO wings and the postshock enhanced abundances, suggest that these molecules are likely the precursors of the shock chemistry during the first stages of the shock evolution.
