Though scarce the giant arcs provide a unique access to a population of
galaxies that are missed by the usual high redshift selections. We
started a program to observe millimeter continuum in giant arcs to
detect the dust emission of the amplified sources. We report on IRAM 30m
observations of five arcs with sources at z = 1.6-3.4.
