A multicounter system for a broad range magnetic analyzer has been developed. Along the paths of analyzed particles, forty proportional counters followed by a scintillation counter were arranged in the focusing plane of the analyzer. The addresses of the proportional counters correspond to the momenta of the analyzed particles. The scintillation counter made a counter telescope with the proportional counters. Backgrounds were much reduced by means of this telescope technique. Forty transistor amplifiers were used for amplification of signals from the proportional counters. After pulse shaping by the forty discriminators, the pulses were led into the corresponding scalers. The forty discriminators were gated by the signals from the scintillation counter.
