Hst Proposal Id #7607

Scientific paper

For the early cycle 7 {June} two standards will be observed with NIC1 & NIC2 at six different wavelengths spanning the NICMOS wavelength range. This part of the proposal is a repeat of SMOV proposal 7049 except that observations of the red star Oph S1, observed to measure the effect of red leaks in the filters, will not be performed here. No observations with NIC3 will be performed. For early cycle 7 {i.e. starting in July 1997}, a solar analog {absolute standard P330E} will be observed with a subset of NIC1 & NIC2 filters to monitor the photometric stability of NICMOS cameras as a function of wavelength. NIC3 filters F110W and F160W are also monitored.
