Water masers have been detected from dense molecular clouds associated with six Sharpless objects. Four are new detections (Anon 1827, S88, S106, S146), and two (S235, S255) show new emission velocities. The masers are located near the primary CO emission peak, and the velocities of the H2O features are similar to the velocities of the CO features. However, in a few instances, H2O emission occurs at velocities differing as much as 40 km/s from the CO. At least three sources are associated with compact dense molecular-cloud cores containing one or more embedded infrared sources.
