Solar Cosmic Rays: Models, Solar Cosmic Rays: Energy Spectra
Scientific paper
A classification of solar cosmic ray (SCR) events based on total proton flux (fluence) is suggested on the basis of an analysis of the accumulated experimental data. It is shown that the energy spectra of both peak and total proton fluxes characterizing SCR events of different magnitude are described well on the average, at a proton energy above 30 MeV, by power-law functions of particle momentum (hardness).
