An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) technique has been applied to gamma-ray images obtained from observations of the Crab Nebula and Markarian 421 using the Whipple Observatory TeV imaging telescope. When applied to parameterised data, the technique has been found to be superior to any other with the exception of Supercuts, in its ability to reject the unwanted hadronic background. However, the technique is shown to be less successful when applied to the unparameterised shower images.
