A feasibility study was made which includes the mirror manufacturing process, relay optics, and star mapper grid for the three mirror telescope. The stiffness and strength requirements, and materials selection were studied, and a dynamic structural analysis performed. Payload thermal control was reviewed in terms of mirror distortion. Detection and electronics subsystems were reviewed and a data flow assessment made for data handling. Reliability predictions were made for the payload electronics. A technological development program is presented to answer uncertainties about mirror fabrication and assembly, radiation effects, and wavefront error verification.
