The CCD camera is widely used on telescope now to replace the
photoplates. But the small size of commonly obtainable CCD limits the
useable field, even for short focus telescopes. In this article, design
and construction of a simple focal reducer for a ø 30 cm Schmidt
Cassegrain telescope on this purpose is presented.
