Nitrogen and noble gases have been analyzed in two samples of Muong Nong tektites. The N contents are 0.5 and 1.34 ppm with delta-N-15 of 8 and 17 percent, respectively. Except for radiogenic Ar-40, all noble gas isotopic ratios are atmospheric. Elemental ratios show clear enrichment of He and Ne, while the heavier noble gases are normal. Higher-than-air-like N/Ar-36 values, together with the positive delta-N-15 values clearly show that most of the N in Muong Nong tektites is from the source material and of sedimentary origin.
