We present the results of a Chandra ACIS observation of the ejecta-dominated Galactic SNR W49B. This remnant is known from previous observations to have strong emission lines from Si and S, and has the highest equivalent width Fe K line of any SNR. Narrow band imaging by ASCA suggested that the Fe is more centrally concentrated than the Si and S. We use narrow band ACIS images and spectra from selected regions to investigate abundance and ionization variations across the remnant. We also report on searches for a stellar remnant; regions of hard, nonthermal emission; and emission from lower abundance nucleosynthesis products (e.g., Cr).
