Because Ganymede's dark-floor deposits may themselves be multicomponent mixtures, it's important to fully characterize their albedo and color variability. The present objectives are to (1) measure albedos of dark-floor deposits in small craters from high resolution Galileo images, and compare them to analogous deposits in the larger dark-floor craters, and (2) measure the spectral properties of dark-floor materials at the Galileo SSI instrument wavelengths and compare them to those of other Ganymede terrains.
