We ask to perform a full transit observation, starting at UT 17:00 on the day 06 March 2007, of the anomalous X-ray pulsar XTE J1810-197, which has been recently discovered to emit pulsed radio emission. Since a XMM observation of the same target has been secured to us for the same day (starting at UT 16:00), the requested slot will allow us to collect about 9 hours of simultaneous X-ray and radio data. The requested coordinated X-ray/radio observation will significantly contribute to shed light on many still unanswered questions about this intriguing source. In particular, it will pose constraints on the extension of the radio and X-ray emitting region(s), it will allow to study pulse shape and pulse fraction variations over more than seven orders of magnitude in frequency and it will provide the database for the first detailed broad band spectroscopy analysis of the source.
