We propose to secure a 50 ksec exposure with XMM-Newton of the Planetary Nebula Abell30. This PN has a hydrogen-deficient central star of WC-PG1159 transition type and fits into the ``born-again'' scenario. We expect to detect at least 1000 X-ray counts from the ``hot bubble'', that will allow us to address the physics of the ``hot bubbles'' inside Planetary Nebulae, and in particular the role of heat conduction for explaining their surprisingly low electron temperature. The analysis of EPIC spectra will also allow to investigate evolutionary origin of hydrogen-deficient post-AGB stars, in particular to check the validity of the ``born-again scenario''.
