Detection of X-rays from post-outburst classical novae provides unique and crucial information about the explosion mechanism and accretion recovery. Soft X-rays reveal if H-nuclear burning is still on, whereas harder X-rays give information about the ejecta and/or the accretion flow in the reborn cataclysmic variable. We have detected three interesting novae with XMM in AO6: V5116 Sgr 2005 and V5115 Sgr 2005, which were still in the supersoft X-ray phase -with V5116 Sgr displaying a puzzling temporal varibility- and V2362 Cyg, which had already turned-off (but the short effective exposure -due to high radiation- prevented us to disentangle the origin of the emission). We propose new observations of these novae, as the best way to better understand the turnoff and recovery of accretion in novae.
