We propose the continuation of our intensive observation of the galaxy cluster A1413 to achieve the first precise observational description of the outskirts of a galaxy cluster in order to investigate the physics at play in these external regions and to provide the first X-ray observational constraints on the limit of virialization and thermalization of clusters, on the feedback due to galaxy formation, and on the dynamical and thermodynamical states of the accreted material from the cosmic web. We present preliminary results based on the 150ks AO6 and the 20ks GT observations, and emphasize that the requested 440ks, needed to complete the required 600ks of effective exposure time, is essential to achieve the proposed scientific goals.
