We propose to observe two fields from the CNOC2 redshift survey to study the evolution of galaxies in groups. The proposed observations will allow typical X-ray groups to be discovered out to z=0.8. The unique aspect of our program is that we have already identified a large sample of optically-selected groups in these fields over the same redshift interval. The combination of the X-ray and optically-selected samples will allow the construction of a sample spanning the full range of dynamical states of groups.
