It is shown that radiation reaction forces due to magnetic-dipole radiation would cause a decay of the pulsar magnetic fields within a time scale much shorter than the lifetime of pulsars if it were not for the magnetic-field regeneration mechanism such as the dynamo mechanism. It is, therefore, concluded that the pulsar magnetic fields are constantly regenerated by some mechanism as in the case of the terrestrial magnetic field.
