Since particles receive the velocity behind moving cosmic strings, wakes are formed from dark matter and baryonic matter. These wakes will fragment into the first systems of mass M =~ 10(7) (Gmu /10(-6})({3)) (betast gammast)(3) (1+zi)(1.5) /(1+zf)(3) Msun, where zi, zf, mu, betast and gammast are the epoch the cosmic string traverse, the epoch the fragmentation occurs, the line density, the velosity of the strings and gammast=(1-beta(2}st)({-1/2)) in units of c=1. The shock waves in the baryonic matter appear in the wakes after the epoch z =~ 790(Gmubetastgammast/10(-6) ). The baryon gas clouds may contract due to H2 cooling after z =~ 10(2) and Population III stars with masses of 10(-1) ~ 10(2}M_{sun) may be fragmented within such first sysetms. The effects of such Population III stars on the surrounding space are briefly discussed.
