The exact solution of the Einstein equations describing a pair of gravitational solitons superimposed on a spatially flat expanding background is considered. Using the high-frequency approximation we show that the soliton-``antisoliton'' pair carries an energy density which might be expressed as a simple function of intrinsic solitary parameters: ɛ=(m2/16πt) ln(λ2+l2)/λ2, where m is the solitary amplitude, λ is the width of each soliton, and l denotes the initial spatial separation of the pair.
