We consider the implications of the nonequilibrium condition for baryogenesis on quark masses. We show that quarks heavier than about 75 GeV can be excluded in models with a minimal low-energy particle content. Heavy fourth-generation quarks or a heavy top quark near the fixed point mq~=200 GeV would require a unification scale of 1017 GeV or more.
