The bidimensional distribution of galaxies in a big slice of the universe, reported by de Lapparent et al., is proven to be anisotropic with a statistical significance of as much as ten standard deviations. We introduce a very simple, quasi-Poisson model which advantageously competes with the thermodynamical one of Saslaw et al., which is seen to fit extremely well the experimental data.
One of us (E.G.) is indebted with R. Koniuk for a stimulating conversion. This work has been partially supported by the CAICYT, research project AE87-0016-3.
