Scientific paper

We present an extended study of molecular excitation for a selection of
starburst galaxies. It extends a study of the (12)CO/(13)CO 1-0
intensity ratio of these galaxies, with an additional goal to
investigate the notion of a two-type molecular medium in the inner
regions of bright IR galaxies.
