A proposal of energy calibration of large volume detectors is considered. The idea of the method is a development of the well known method of using the decay electrons originated from stopping muons. If one records muons stopping not inside the detector volume but just near it (pillow-effect) this will result in absence of first pulse in the detector and thus it will result in the absence of afterpulses in the detector's PMT.
