Svalgaard's regression equation is used to calculate mean annual values
of solar wind velocity for the period 1930-1960 on the basis of mean
annual values of the am index. In addition, values of the geomagnetic
moment and its internal and external parts are calculated for these
years on the basis of mean annual data from 12 magnetic observatories.
