A qualitative study of the propagation characteristics of whistlers at frequencies of 0.5, 2, and 5 kHz near the plasmapause is carried out, and it is shown that whistlers propagating at a small angle to the magnetic field are effectively trapped in a region near the inner edge of the plasmapause. This trapping is most effective during periods of moderate disturbance level with Kp = 2.
