DROXO is a XMM-Newton large program that explored the ρ Ophiuchi Cloud with a 500 ks observation. We present the main properties of the 111 X-ray sources detected in DROXO. We achieved an average sensitivity of fX~10-15 erg s-1 cm-2 in unabsorbed flux and LX~1028 erg s-1 in luminosity (0.3-10 keV band). Typically the source spectra are highly absorbed (NH~2.1022 cm-2), with a mean plasma temperature of kT~1.9 keV. Saturation of LX/Lbol ratio occurs at masses of M = 0.5-0.7 Msolar and, below these values of masses, the relation between LX and mass found for Orion Nebula YSOs [1] is found valid also for the X-ray luminosities from YSO in ρ Oph.
