A mathematical model of the earth's geomagnetic field is described. Electric currents causing changes in the ocean were studied. Magnetic anomalies at great ocean depths and the magnetic declination changes were examined. These effects are caused by ferromagnetic rocks lying deep beneath sedimentary rocks and extending horizontally for a short distance.
