A radial velocity survey of nearby stars was undertaken with the Coravel instrument of the Geneva Observatory at the Observatoire de Haute-Provence. Almost all program stars have at least two measures, and some spectroscopic binaries (SB) were already detected. The proportion of SB's detected among K dwarfs is now 15%, 1/4 of them being SBII. The proportion of SBII among all SB is however less important, when only the nearby stars are considered. This is due to the incompleteness of the sample for parallaxes smaller than 0arcsec.049.
