Scientific paper

We propose to determine the masses of pre-main sequence binariesselected from our lunar occultation survey of the Taurus star-formingregion. We plan to use the Fine Guidance Sensors to measure theapparent orbits of the binaries. Since the distance to the region isknown the apparent orbits will yield the total masses of the binaries.This proposal contains a calibration observation and five moreobservations to continue from proposal 5316.
