The closed isotropic cosmological model is studied using the Lanczos lagrangian with a non-zero cosmological constant Λ. It is found that when Λ > 0 there is an initial and final singularity at which the radius tends to zero and the Planck length tends to infinity. These limits are such that the matter density tends to infinity.
